Spring Ai Chat Response Default System Text

The Sping Ai Chat Client is used multiple times in the code, so the good coding practice would be to create the Chat Client bean in one place and Autowired in required classes. it also helps Spring Framework to manage the bean and allows setting some default values which will be common for all uses. One such useful default property is Default System Text.

The Default System Text provides instructions to the AI Model on how to process and respond.

import org.springframework.ai.chat.client.ChatClient;
import org.springframework.beans.factory.annotation.Autowired;
import org.springframework.web.bind.annotation.GetMapping;
import org.springframework.web.bind.annotation.RestController;

@RestController
public class SpringAiController {
    @Autowired
    private ChatClient chatClient;

    @GetMapping("/defaultSystemText")
    String defaultSystemText() {
        String helloPrompt = "Hello, I am learning Ai with Spring";
        return this.chatClient.prompt().user(helloPrompt).call().content();
    }
}
package com.example.springai;

import org.springframework.ai.chat.client.ChatClient;
import org.springframework.boot.SpringApplication;
import org.springframework.boot.autoconfigure.SpringBootApplication;
import org.springframework.context.annotation.Bean;

@SpringBootApplication

    public static void main(String[] args) {
        SpringApplication.run(SpringAiApplication.class, args);
    }

    @Bean

        return builder.defaultSystem("You are a friendly chat bot that answers question in very detail with example.")
